projection mapping on the facade of the deutsches national theater @ genius loci weimar, germany 2014

together with our friend soundselektor we won the competition for the projection mapping festival genius loci in weimar. the music is made using solely samples recorded in and outside the national theatre. we used typical sounds of the architecture, sounds you could hear using doors, staircases, switches, etc.

by using the architecture itself as an instrument, it seemed logical to visualize the sound giving elements and use the architectural structure as the main motive of the show. keeping the visuals abstract and simple, considering the constant dialog with the music, was one of the aims for this project.
